1 power Weaver or Nikon

Has anyone done a comparison between the Weaver v3 1-3x and the Nikon Monarch African 1-4x20?  There seem to be a lot of very satisfied Weaver users, but I cant find much about the Nikon at all.

I have an old 1X4 Leupold that is fun to use on running deer when range is close.  I used to walk along the edges of frozen flooded swampland and flush deer off dry islands.
