My bad....it IS indeed an '84!  Lost the passenger-side head gasket the other day, and with nearly 200K on the rest of the running gear, I'm thinking of putting the EFI 5.0 out of the Merc Grand Marquis I forgot about, along with the AOD, or a 351W and C6 with my NP205 into it.  Got one of the 'little' 9" disc braked rear ends out of a Lincoln, and have a deal working on a mid-70's Bronco Dana 44 for the front.
I like the Blazer, love the CJ7, but it sure is nice to have a small rig that has roll-up windows and a hard top!

that 351 and c6 combo would be a tight fit. Definatly need a body lift. Thinking about  a 302 and c4 combo in mine. dana 35 and 44 would hve to go with it. Good thing is that the  t case would handle a smallblock. Have you been on the rangerstation.com website? lots of info on rangers, bronco 2s and explorers.

I recently bought a 2007 Ford Ranger XLT 4 X 4 with 4.0L V-6, 5 Speed Manual Trans, and 3.73 limited slip rear diff.  So far, it's tied with the Porsche 924S I used to own as favorite all time ride.  I have a 2006 PT Cruiser that I like a lot, too.
