I've owned two. Great scopes.

Don't have a Simmons Aetec scope, but do own the aspherical lens Federal Intensity scope that is similar to the Aetecs.  Rather good clarity and brightness with the aspherical lens.  My fellow shooters at range, who own a lot more expensive scopes than my Intensity scope, were very impressed with it.  Matter of fact, one of them bought one recently and he is rather discriminating when it comes to scopes, preferring Leopolds, Nikons and such.  Natchez Shooters Supply, handles both Aetecs and Intensity scopes, but not sure what Intensity scopes that are aspherical lens type they still have in stock.

Whoops a bit late but I brought one and it was faulty so returned it and the dealer replaced it the new replacement was also faulty  :'( I did put a post up on GB about it. I do have the Prohunter still which seems OK even if one of the adjustments is not as crisp as it should be and the direction sticker was missing off the windage dial. Not a good report for Simmons I am afraid.
