What causes high idle?

Anyone have any suggestion as to why the high idle stays on on my 1995 Chevy Lumina? The high idle selinoid has been changed. The throttle body removed and it and all the ports cleaned out. The temperature sensor has been replaced. We are now thinking vacuum leak but so far haven't found one yet. Any ideas folks?

vaccum leak could do it. Also did you ever clean the idle air control valve?

Anyone check the TPS? (Throttle position sensor). Toyota's have had some "high idle" problems of late too..........

Don't think the TPS was checked. My mechanic told me to take it to a guy here in town. Said he was probably the best Chevy man in this area.

This thread just goes to show, that if you have a question, or a problem, someone here has an answer, or solution, and is willing to share the info.
