Millington TN Underwater
« on: May 03, 2010, 10:48:16 AM »
I imagine lots of folks on here are out right now waiting for the water to subside in their homes. And my heart goes out to the families of the 18 (?) who have died as a result.

The damage to Millington is tough on the Navy administratively ... all our records, recruiting command, detailers, and promotion boards are there. We're already stacked up with budget cuts, and restructuring; the admin flow is so tight that any setback is catastrophic. Its going to affect a lot of lives all around the world.

Levee broke. Just saw Nashville is flooded, and maybe more rain coming.

If I remember correctly, Millington is outside Memphis and near the Missisippi.  I visited my brother there once, and I remember they had buffalo there......

Sorry for those poor folks misery..........

Hmmmm--and in Algore's own state.  I'm sure he would say that this is all because of "global warming", or "climate change."  Up here in the PNW, we're enjoying springtime temperatures that are at least 10 degrees below normal and snow in the Cascades.  More evidence of global warming.
