My son got his first bird the other day, a nice mature tom, ~18lbs, 9 1/2" beard and 1" spurs. Awesome morning in the NY turkey woods. Lots of gobbling and after we stay hunkered well enough to let 4 hens walk by at about 5-10 yards, this big boy and his twin brother came strolling up to us. He picked one out and got him at 20 yards with his 20 ga. Not sure who was happier, but I know it is a morning I'll never forget.
