When I visited Barnes last month I asked Thai if they where going to introduce any 6.5's in the tripple shock line. He told me they will be releasing a 130gr tsx in the spring. Can't wait to try it in my 260 rem.  :D

Right now I only shoot Barnes tripple shocks in my 7STW. My loads average 3287 fps with a 13fps extreme spread with H1000. I use federal gold medal magnum primers. I worked up loads that pushed the bullet faster but my groups opened up to 1.5". So I backedit off some. No pressure signs, flat primer, case extraction, etc. The load I settled on will put 3 shots in 3/4" at 100. Not great by some standards but definately minute of elk accuracy. As far as fouling it is actually less than I was getting from nosler ballistic tips. I'm definately happy.  And yes my rifle is a VVGC encore barrel. Dave and Jeff know what their doing. If you have any questions feel free to give them a call. I know I do.

well i hate to say but the 6.5mm rsaum is no more. but i have to give the guys at vvcg good reguards becuase they have made this ending as good as possible for me. im a true 2506 fan and i had to pick another caliber so i think ill stay with it. but in the future if i get another barrel it will be from vvcg. jeff and steve have done all possible efforts to get me what i wanted it just wasnt meant to be. today i got a new winchester 270wsm and im looking forward to shooting it this weekend.

the 2506 will be a 24" .850 flutted bull barrel  1-10 twist, yes this is the replacement barrel for the 6.5mm rsaum witch was a bust.
the 270wsm i got is the winchester coyote.
at the range first 3 shots 3/8" center to center (130 balistic silver tip), ajusted scope and shot 2 more rounds 1/4" center to center.
have shot 2 deer with it now love it, but not to pleased with the bullet performance. it must be to fast to hold up.
will be loading my own when i get the dies in.
the gun was well bedded the trigger easy to ajust but only to 3.25 lbs.
im going to get new springs to get it to 2lbs.

do you have vv or bb barrels in 2506, if so how good do they shoot.
swift said they will have the 100 gr. sirocco if thats is spelled correct the first of next year. that will make a sweet deer bullet.
i love partitions but they just dont shoot good for me. maybe you have some load data that i can try. the 100 gr. partition would be a good one if i got it to shoot good.
