any advantage to a Permanant or detachable scope?

The scope is going on my omega.  I am trying to decide if I need detachable scope mounts.

I prefer QR rings-- for cleaning. It is just nice to get the glass cleanly out of the way.

I have the Leupold QR rings/bases.  Like Randy says, it just makes cleaning easier..though I'm not sure that applies to an Omega :)
   The main reason I did it is close-range hunting.  I took a scope in the forehead a couple seasons ago snapping off a shot at a doe spooking directly towards me at 40+ mph!  I prefer open sights when shots are likely less than 100 yards, so I remove the scope for woods hunting and keep it in my pocket until I get to the open field again.
