Handi Again!
« on: May 11, 2010, 12:12:40 PM »
I have rejoined the ranks of Handi owners.  Bought the .30-30 from Bud's, I got it in my grubby little paws last night.  It seems tighter than I remember my other H&R rifles being, I really have to push down on the barrel to get it to open.  Hoepfully that will change with use and cleaning!

Plans are to send it in for a .20 ga barrel, possibly another in .357.

After 16 years, I am back to where I was with my first Harrington & Richardson (058? 158?) in .30-30 with 20 ga. barrel....  Never should have sold it!   ::)

You've got that right, if ya had it today, I'd be first in line to buy it.

Do yourself a favor.....get both the 20 ga. and the .357.  Ream the .357 to Maximum and you're right home on Jolly Street.  I'm now loading pop gun loads for the .38s for plinking, bunnies, squirrels and small pests, and .38 +Ps for more serious stuff and of course the .357 Magnum and Maximum.

Another goodie is the .44 Magnum reamed to .445........soooo many options.....soooo little cash...my problem.
