Might be 30/06 but could also be 308's , you'll just have to check the measurements . Lake City brass is some of the better stuff around , however most of it have Crimped in primers so you will need to remove the crimp before you try to re-prime them , this can be done a couple ways ,

1) Use a primer pocker Swedge tool .

2) Use a neck chamfer tool and just give the pocker a couple twists .

Some guys don't like #2 , say it takes too much brass from the pocket , myself I like it , Quick and Painless way to do a bunch of case's  - cheaper too .  ;D

Stimpy - Long ago I bought LC 223 brass to make it into 222 Remington. I did not have much equipment or money (thus the LC brass). I had to figure out a way to get that rim out of there. I cut a few with a case mouth chamfer tool, loaded them up and there were not problems. I have been doing that way ever since. So #2 for me too.

Never had a problem with taking too much brass with the little rocket , but some say it does .  ??? ::)

Most all the LC brass from the '60s and before is quite heavy allowing for less capacity to the point that loads have to be reduced to be safe.  On the other hand, some of the later manufacture dates of LC brass ('90s and 2000s) are lighter and of greater capacity than commercial equivalents.  Check capacity before you load and adjust load data accordingly.

BTW, I'm one of the guys stimpy was referring to that prefers swageing to cutting away good brass.  It's certainly quicker and easier for me to swage those pockets when I'm doing 5 or 10,000 pieces at a time.

Good point about case cap , some can be as much as 10% less .

The last LC brass I bought, was virgin 5.56 '06. No crimps and I loaded them the same as Winchester 223 brass. The older brass I had from the late 70's were much heavier and held less powder.
