Are thease bullets flat based or concave? I am trying this bullet and the other trying to see what works best in my .54 GPH.

They are flat base with a slight bevel to the sides of the base.

As Mr. Krupinski state, the base is flat. I got excellent results in a .50 cal. Lyman GPR (1-66" twist). At least they were excellent for me, 6" and smaller groups at 100 yards.

Tom K. recommended the Lee Real Bullet to me for my TC Scout .50, I had excellent results, so I tried 'em in my .54 and I also had excellent results, my .54 is 1:48 however. RR

Didn't the REAL bullet come in two legnths, one for the faster twist and one for the 1:66?

The .54 is 380 grain, the .50 is 320 grain, they have several other weights, but these are what worked for me. I believe the Scout in .50 is 1:36. My .54 is a Hawkins percussion. The lighter bullets would be shorter in heighth, and more suitable to the slower twist. RR

I tried out some 250gr REAL in my 1:66 twist GPR today. I used 75grs of 777 and a cardboard wad over the powder and the bullet lubed with some CVA patch lube I had laying around. Shot almost 1 hole group at 25yds. And 2" group at 65yds.A friend from work 14yr old son cast these for me. Going to use this load for the opening of Minnesota ML season this weekend.

Lee Precision makes a mould for a 300 and 380 grain R.E.A.L. bullet for the .54 caliber. I think the GPH has a fast twist barrel so either of the bullets should work well.

I cast the 320 grain R.E.A.L. bullet for my .50 caliber and I really like the accuracy I get with that bullet.

Charlie, I started getting fair accuracy with 80 grains of FFG Goex but I get the best accuracy, in my rifle, with 95 grains of Goex FFG. Of course that's probably a hotter load than is needed for deer. My CVA Hawken has a 1-48 twist barrel.
