I came across this site by accident, but for the guy on a thin budget that wants to get a traditional bow, I don't think you will find them any cheaper as these.

Its only because of Philip that I have been able to make the longbows I have. He's a great Man! Thanks! scout4<><

Scout4, I believe this is where I will be buying my longbow from as they are simple and very affordable.  I don't have to have a super custom made longbow or recurve, as they are very nice to have, but for the price of these one could own several of these fine bows he has to offer here.

Can you say, I am suffering from an addiction here  ::)

Montanian, Although Philip makes a good shooting but rough hewn longbow out of oak mostly, That may not be the better choice for you at this time. May I suggest this place to you?...www.3riversarchery.com  when you go to this website, click on bows, then click on recurves, then click on imported recurve bows. What you will find is the sage takedown recurve bow. I think for the price you would find it to be a very good bow, something you can actually become accurate with. scout4<><

There are lots of bow makers out there.
After all its just a stick and a string.

I have two friends that make them.

The upper one is 45lbs and cost $90
The lower one is 25lbs and cost $45
