All I've shot in my T-C 10" octagon 357 minimax is cast loads. It's a 357 mag reamed to hold a long 190 gr Lee FP group buy gascheck bullet. With Lil'Gun I can push that 190 gr bullet to 1734 fps, but the recoil is somewhere between awful and terrible, so I calmed it down to ~1500 fps using WC820 (AA#9-like). I use that 1500 fps load for deer/hog hunting. For non-hunting I use either a 158 gr Lasercast or a 158 gr Lee TL and both with WC820 to ~1400 est in the T-C. Measured velocity of the 158 gr load in my Rossi M92 20" carbine is 1620 fps.
I also shot a 180 gr LaserCast truncated cone-tip non-gascheck cast to ~1700 fps with Lil-Gun in the 10" T-C, but due to recoil switched to the ~1500 fps load. None of the loads mentioned here gave leading, and they all shot fine and dandy, i.e., better than I can hold.
"Fine and dandy" accuracy = all shots in a 6" bullseye @ 31 yards from a forearm-against-a-tree rest.
