Hi every body- I just wanted to share about the remote control I just got for my lights, it has a fob sized set of two remote controls and reaches over 100 yds. (I tested it tonight) by clamping the antanae wire to an old cb antanae it increased the distace to maybe 115 (line of sight). But without the antenae it reached very close to 100 yds. This remote just has on or off, the first remote I bought has on/off with dimmer control. But that one only reached about 8 yds... cool features but no distance. The new one is perfect.
It works great with my red and green LED set up. They are for anything 12 v up to 5 amps. Just thought some of you may have a use for one. it was 23.99+ shipping of like 6.00. I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link but would tell you where it came from along with the leds if you want to build a cool set up for aroung 60.00.
OK a bow hunter at work saw my leds red and green mounted on a small board to put on a tripod, and said wow, We have blood tracking lights that are red and green like a flashlight with an oversized lens, those would make perfect tracking lights..... Have any of you tried or used the type light mentioned? I have not hunted anything since building the light set up, and would carry it through the woods in a heartbeat if they actually work. Especially after reading the "dead hog walking thread."
As always thanks for any input, I appreciate it.  thejanitor

I'm Interested in the remote control and use R/G LEDS to hunt hogs at times myself. the ones I use were purchased from Texasboars.com  They have a about a hundred yard "reach" and work well with scoped rifles.  A Gorilla pod mount works great to put em in a tree branch or the window of a Stand.

We tried to use my leds to track the "Hog" mentioned in that thread but it didn't work much better than the white led pelican flashlight i was carrying and didn't have to carry that heavier battery with it. We use a 12v feeder battery for ours.

I did use a white Led light for tracking before and I found it really did not show blood as good as a regular bulb type flashlight.... I was hoping the intense red/green leds would be brighter and better since they are the colors they mentioned for the blood hunter type light. I will try to PM you tonight with the info off the order form. So you know exactly which control I bought. I bought two now trying to get the right distance. I found some on Amazon but they do not list a distance of reach, in the testomonies from customers someone say "reaches way across a parking lot" but I can't bank on that and return it if it doesn't reach the distance I want. So I went with the one that actually states "Reaches 150 feet" line of sight right in the product description. Both of the ones I have I bought from the same company because I have delt with them enough to trust them. And now with the one I will send you the product number and all is the one I am happy with.
My lights themselves are not as fancy as TXboar guys, but they will flood either a 30 yds circle or if I ad the focus lenses I added- will spot light out to 75+ or so yds. I just couldn't afford the ones you have. My son and I were out in the yard one night and I was shining them on the neighbors house Aprox 175 yds away but a light gray surface(-not hunting conditions) and my son was amazed the didn't come out and yell at me... it was pretty bright. Not 150,000,000 candle power bright, but I could have seen their dog walk along the house..... But the way they come from the site, they will just light up a 30 ish yard circle very well. I can email pics and directions if you wish. Or post them if it isn't a rule that I can't. They are not the perfect light they are just cool for the price.  thejanitor
