BLR 450 Marlin
« on: November 30, 2003, 03:09:14 PM »
Hey guys,

I did some back tracking on this fourm and already found this topic but there wasnt many replies. I didn't see many threads about the BLR in any caliber. Wonder why?

What do yall think about this combo? Any comments on the caliber or on the BLR in general are welcome. I only have one lever action right now but I'm looking to add a big thumper to the stash. The worst thing is see is they BLR receivers are aluminum.

Good luck and be safe,
Scott

TScottO,

If I were to buy a lever action in .450 Marlin then it would be the Browning BLR.  The longer barrel and the fact that it will let you use Barnes X and other pointed bullets in it gives it the advantage over the Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 or .450 Marlin.  Lawdog
