savage sporter in 25-20, pre 23 marked.

i have had this savage sporter in 25-20 for a while and have killed several fall season turkeys with it. it was refinished at some time before i got it(it did not need refinished,no pits or bad wood) i think they just want it to look pretty, bore is ex. i have been able to get 2.5 inch groups at 100yds from a rest. eastbank.

Great rifles. If you reload,be cautious about going overboard.The receiver and barrel are one piece and strong loads tend to create excessive headspace in these models. This problem is hard to correct as one might imagine as a one pieces setup. Keep loads in the factory range or close,and one should not have any issues. Enjoy
