Ready for spring???? have a plan??

 In the early spring while its still cold but the ice is off fish the northern most part of the body of water it warms up first thats were the fish are first.  And crawfish lures should be your first choice of lures like Rebel big Claw, and Manns crankbaits size baby 1 in crawdadbrown are my first two choices add a little baitmate bass scent and you have the perfect match to start the season off with.  :D                                  BigBill

Sauger run starts this month. Got a boat load of 1 oz. orange heads and chartuse kip hair and a #6 trebble stinger. They will be topped off with a 4-5 inch creek minnow and bounced off the bottom of the deepest part of the river. Just as soon as der season ends...the 10 of this month.
Good luck Rick

Hey Vol,

What part of the state are you'ins in and which river are you freezing to death on chasing sauger? I never caught one of those on a "bluebird" day, always seemed to be the nastiest, coldest days when I hooked up.

Frog :D
Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time....ES
