Tennis Ball modification

A while back someone showed tennis balls that they had drilled and filled with cement.  What kind of bit works best fo this? I would guess a Forstner but haven't tried it.  Now if only the dog doesn't find out where his toys are going.....

Make a small slit with a knife, insert a funnel, use fine portland cement, no rocks to clog up the funnel.
PALADIN had a gun.....I have guns, mortars, and cannons!

Like the one below?  I have a case os CRS right now.  :-[ I believe I used a 1" hole saw as that is pretty the only thing I have around. I did it as an experiment a while back to see if it would work. I was curious to see if the heat from the anchor cement would damage the ball. It did seem to affect it.

Hmmm... Tennis balls filled with cement. Hmmm... may work for my piece. Didn't know if the cement would shatter when shot? I experimented with cutting a tennis ball in half, then using the 2 half's to encapsulate
the smaller dia ball. 1/2 a tennis ball was great for windage but tended to rotate when loaded so tried both halfs. Turns out not all tennis balls are equal in respect to inside diamater. Some hand fitting required.
The tennis balls do work great for cleaning. Tie a long string to them, ram them home and pull out.

I've filled raquet balls with cement for my little British Grenade mortar.  Works pretty good.

Thanks for the tips gentlemen.  It was your post that I remembered Intoodeep.
Thanks Lance for the alternate route, I'll try it.
