A few "Mauser" actione rifles

OK here a few that you migh enjoy looking at. None are actually "Mausers" but the first is a DWM:-


Yep that's a M93 type built in about 1897 and nope it's not been sporterised




Of course it's a 7x57mm  Some of you may even know what it is and who it was built for.

Next up we have some modern, well fairly and the newest was built in 1987, Mauser actioned sporting rifles:-

The muzzle has a 1/2" UNF thread to accept this:-


Wildcat Predator 8 Sound Moderator. The rifle is chambered for the 25-06 Rem cartridge and is a P-H 1200C with a drop mag.

Hmmm well the Sporterised Swedish Mauser is an American commercial jobbie as far as I am aware  I only cleaned the stock of some sort of preservative and applied an oiled finish. The Parker-Hale's are pretty standard  but thank you for the kind comment.

Hmmm that's hard as I don't have favorites  I decide on what to use on where I am going but I suppose from the Parker-Hale's the one I am very fond of is the 1100 Lwt in .308 as if I do my part right it really shoot:-


That's three shots in one hole at 75M (82 yards) our club range is only 75M  The hole above were from testing an old laod with a 200 grain bullet in it and this P-H didn't lie it at all.

However I like the feel of my 1200 Super in 7.92mm (8mm Mauser) it's jsu so sweet even if it's not the smoothest of them  it's the one I found NIB still.

Ahhhh that particular rifle, the 6mm Remington P-H 1200V has got to be the must frustrating rifle I have ever had feeding it wise. Consistancy wise it was dire and accuracy was not very good. So in the end I ended up stripping out the old bedding compound and re-bedding it changing the scope and even the mounting system before finally getting some reasonable groups.

I am waiting for some warmer weather to strip the varnish off the stock to re-finish it with a spray true-oil finish as this one had the high gloss poly finish from the factory so I shall try to get a high gloss finish to replace it. The factory finish was chipped in a few places and there was a few dents which I steamed out the brush varnish I used must have gone off as it went all splotchy  so I have to re-do it all now. I have also had the recoil pad changed to a slimmer one as the LOP was too long.

When I got  the rifle I was expecting to be able to get groups of around 1/2"-3/4" but I am still serching for them. Factory ammunition in 6mm Rem is virtually non existant here  .

    I am picking a rifle that looks just like the one you posted, but mine is called a Voere 2165 in 30-06 made in early 70's. Is there any similarity besides having Mauser action between the Voere and the P-H 1200 Super? I can't seem to find a whole lot of info here stateside, any info that you have would be very very appreciated.
