Savage Striker 22-250

Just wanted to post a little review on the striker. I have had it for about 3 weeks and this gun is a 1/4 inch gun at 100 yards all day long. Using the cheep walmart winchester white box. I am using a simmons 4x scope and this thing is great. anyone wanting a compact vorment gun this is it.

I think the 22-250 is a great round. I have one in an Encore pistol. We shoot golfballs at 200 yards off of a bench rest with it. :)

OK, that's it.  I've had the .22-250 barrel for a year now and have never shot it.  It came with the whole package deal I got on my Encore - now I can see its got to be exercised.

Tactical:  Glad to hear that thing shoots so well.  Makes me feel good about the 10fp rifle I have on the way.  :-)

The savage has my buisness hand down. The way the striker shoots I dont know if I will buy another long rifle or not. I may end up buying the 308 for deer hunting but havnt desided yet.

The price on the 223 and 243 range from 350 to 399 depending on the finish. Very worth the money.

hi all. i have the striker in 308 . i have a simmons 4 power mounted on it and i get 2 inch groups all day . i've only got one deer with it but i dropped him dead at around 80 yards.the strikers are awesome guns and worth every penny!

I have a Striker in .308 Win, and with handloaded 130 gr Barnes X bullets, I am holding
1 MOA, looking down a 2x-7x Burris.  The loads are chronographing at 2750 fps,
so there is a little jump to these, but with one Whitetail under it's belt, my sample
of one showed devestating results.  With a rest, I am comfortable shooting out
to at least 200 yards.  Not bad for a "handgun"(grin).

Savage Strikers

I own three Savage Strikers. .223, .308 and the new 300 WSM. The .223 is the 14" Stainless version (no brake). It will shoot 1/4" 5 shot groups with the Nosler 50 gr. Ballistic Tips all day long. I can consistently hit prairie dogs at 300 yds (and when conditions are right a little further). I love the Strikers. I used to have two TC .223 barrels but my Striker shot cirlces around them. I have the Burris Target 10X Scope on mine and it's a perfect fit.

I can't count the Mule Deer and Antelope I've harvested with the .308. The 300 WSM got it's first kill on an Antelope this year, but was not able to try it on anything else.
