Again my Polaris recurve proves itself worthy! I did some shooting this morning, after not shooting since the 2nd of may an figure it was some good shooting all things considered! About 15 paces, 40# recurve, an beefy 23/64" 30" arrows with 145gr.fp I love them big arrows! ;)scout4<><

That is awesome Scout4, and it sure makes you walk away from your target with a big ol grin on your face that a hatchet couldn't get off.

Hey Montanian! Thanks! yeah those are the arrows I let you know about. Even though the ones pictured are different colors they're same cedar an bout the same spine, just from 3 different orders. First shot was a little off for me, my fault   second two were not off,...to much... Thanks! scout4<><

Scout4 - I have my good days where I shoot groups like yours, then after a while it all goes in a spread.  I just got some new Easton Legacy 2020's that were just priced to cheap to not get for now.  I will have to take some pics after the new bows get here, which are both longbows.

One custome longbow was in the classifieds, that the seller does not know the maker of, and a buddy just sold me his 55# Bama Bow Hunter for a real sweet price of $170 shipped as he is ordering a Royal from Bama Bows.

What can I say, I'm hooked and I got the addiction real bad.

Good shootin'!  I need to get back out soon and do some shooting, but have been waiting on the Doc to clear me.  Hurt my shoulder (doing something dumb) and the Doc said to wait a while.  The shoulder feels fine, but I don't want to ruin this fall by starting to shoot too soon.  I was not looking forward to how bad I know I'll shoot, but I hoping that won't last long and I'll get back in the swing of things quickly.

All Hawks Kill - back in Nov 08 I had left shoulder surgery, the end result was my doctor who also shoots traditional, said "Jon you will never draw a bow again" Well I hate to disagree with him but.........

Oh yes the mental part hit the nail on the head.  You won't ever hit what you want until you believe you can.  Now to get the arrow drawn back far enough to fly 10 yards.......

Montanan, ever notice how your shooting goes to heck when you start thinking about it? My buddy says if I could quit thinking when I shoot I would be deadly First few are dead on then begin to open up the more I concentrate on it. Go figure

That is exactly what happens.  I can stand there looking at the 20 yard indoor range door, turn quick and snap a shot and be dead on with the first two that are snap shot.  Then start to think about it..... and well they spread, and sometimes spread like roaches when you turn on the lights
