Encore frame, barrel (w/sights), and grip/forearm ~$450
Weaver base ~$11
Bushnell Trophy 2-6X32 scope ~$150
Soft case ~$25
Holster ~$40

Call it $700 to get all the neat toys to fully enjoy your new Encore.  Still a bit less than a new rifle, but by no means "cheap."  Have fun!

i'll go with some rough figures
$480- SS frame and barrel with composite(rubber) grip and forearm
$45- burris dual dovetail scope base, with dual dovetail signature rings,(plastic inserts prevent ring marks on scope, among other things)
$265-$300- 2x7x32, or 3x12x32 burris ler scope.

$825 + tax or shipping for a great setup.
the 2x7 burris is great for a wide field of view on closer shots at game. the 3x12 burris is great also, but with less field of view on the low powers.
add some sling swivels, and a good nylon sling for packing. this would be a top notch setup for most any game. especially if you added a light caliber barrel later. believe me! once you get started, you're gonna want more.  that is, if you are determined enough to practice and become proficient with a handgun. 8)

check ed's contenders. maybe he will give you a great deal on a total package. link is at the top of one of these pages at this site.

I got a complete rig fired only 10 times off GunBroker. It is the stainless with black rubber grips and forearm. It had a new 2 x 7 T/C scope already mounted. It is the 15" 7mm-08 and I paid $525.00 for the whole rig. I have since picked up another one for about the same price in 308 with 2x 6 Bushnell Trophy scope. If you look at the auction sites daily, the deals are there every now and again.
