Finally Shot my Poor Man's custom 338-06AI
« on: June 01, 2010, 01:09:09 PM »
I got this rifle back from the gunsmith about 3 months ago.  It was done the same week my daughter was born, and between that and building an addition onto my house I have been busy.  Anyways, this started out as a Rem 700 ADL 30-06.  It is now a 338-06 AI.  I've never had an AI so I thought I would give it a try.  It sports a 22", (I cant stand 24" or longer barrels) Adams and Bennett barrel, is parkerized, and is topped with a Leupold VX-II 2-7.  I only been shooting fireforming rounds so far.  I've loaded some 200 gr speer and 250 Hornady round nose.  They are a joy to shoot.
