Similar to krochus, I have been throwing charges with my Uniflow's for quite some years. I get all the accuracy I need from them, and have loaded everything from 296 through the long thick stick powders. Yes they sometimes DO cut a stick or two but as mentioned they still throw close enough to produce groups like his too consistently for me to worry about it.
100yd load work up, bottom left final load 5 shots each with different primers, top two of each group hot barrel slight stock rub.

Equipment used,

Same equipment different rifle and 500yd groups, 2 1/2" bull,

I use the baffles with some powders and not with others. It seems to help out more with the longer stick than anything. As mentioned keep a certain level in the hopper and keep you motion close with each dump and you will throw good charges.

Also if any of you are interested in possibly of building one of the baffles try this link,

If it won't open for you, shoot me an e-mail and I will forward you a copy of it. If you cannot find one that will fit exactly with these templates, you can get it close enough to sand down a bit with some emory or a fine bench file. Just check the diameter with a folded piece of paper first and you should be darn close. It don't have to fit exactly, just enough to somewhat meter the flow of powder around it.

Be sure to follow the instructions on printing them out or they will be a bit off. You might have to save the file to your PC in order for it to open.
