Help with ruger p-95 reassembly

I need to know which way the recoil spring collar faces on the guide rod. The collar has a shoulder on the inside of it, question is, does this shoulder face the recoil spring or the collar retainer?  I have looked at all parts diagrams and they are not detailed enough to see which way it faces. to be more clear, does the recoil spring fit into the collar or does the collar fit into the collar retainer?

It faces to the front that lets it be even with the front of the guide rod the collar retainer fits down in it

really? That interesting, I put it it in the other way because that how it came. I wonder if the Ruger assembler got it wrong....

I don't know maybe it doesn't matter I bought mine new and never had the rod apart If you find out for sure let us know

ok I double checked it, and i did install it the way you said to. Did function test of 10 rounds and the gun ran perfect. Problem solved I guess.
