Wyoming Non resident tags

 ;D I drew Antelope 64 and deer 90 in wyoming. Where any of the rest of you lucky enough to get tags? I had some years of preference points I used up.

  Leftover full price antelope either sex tags went on sale online yesterday morning 07/06/10.
A friend wanted a buck tag and was able to buy one online for antelope area 12 no points needed, anyone can buy up to 2 either sex tags.  whats left now will go pretty quickly.    Jedman

Got tags (antelope) for my son and me in the mail today - Area 7. Can't wait for October (even more than most years)

Hunt areas east of Casper will likely be mostly private lands. Usually easy to draw licenses there. If I were dying to get a license, I would put in for areas in the east half of the state and then if I drew,make a trip out to the area in July or Aug. to scout, mostly to find a few landowners that would let you hunt. Figure on paying a trespass fee, but they are usually reasonable.

Leathersocs  Don't know if you know area 7 or not, it is possible to hunt on public lands there. Lots of the area is National Grasslands administered by the Forest Service.

   There really is alot of public and walk on private land to hunt.  You need to buy some  good maps of the area you want to hunt and make a plan.
     There are state lands, BLM lands , trust lands, and the walk on lands .  It takes some time and research to understand the hunt areas and the laws if you are a nonresedent.        Jed

Thanks guys but I'm gonna go with a guide. I know, folks say it isn't necessary and a waste of money for antelope, but I have never been out there at all so figured I would go with a guide.

 congrats to those that drew!

  I have doe tags for deer and antelope, deer area 97, antelope areas 92, and (second choice) 107, neat and interesting country to hunt in. Wyoming has always been a fun place to goto and hunt, so far the crowds are moderate if nonexistant, and at least where I've went before lots and lots of open country and game. I look forward to it every year!

  I would like to try the eastern part of the state too, but I am reluctant due to the amount of private ground, and of course the travel distance.
