cukes onions tomatoes in vineger

Mom used to due this and it was outstanding. Does anybody have the right amount of vineger, sugar, water and what ever else went into this. It was really good and I miss it.

just look up a pickling recipe, boil it to get the spice flavors, dump in your stuff and shove it in the frig for a day or two.

Can't really help with a recipe even though there is pretty much always a similar bowl in the fridge most all summer.  When it gets low the wife adds more stuff to it.  When I ask the wife what she actually put in it she said, "what ever it takes to make it taste right".  May not be any help to you, but was good enough for me.

I like one cup of sugar to one cup vinigar on my cucumbers.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.

No tomatoes, but you could add them:

Sliced Cucumber and Onion Salad
Servings: YIELD: 100 Portions
Portions: 1/3 Cup Each
Pan Size:
Temperature:
INGREDIENTS
2 3/4 gal. (15 lb) cucumbers, fresh, pared, sliced, 1/8-inch
2 1/4 qt. (3 lb) onions, dry, sliced, 1/8-inch
1 tsp. pepper, black
4 tbsp. (2 3/4 oz) salt
2 1/4 cups (1 lb) sugar, granulated
1 1/2 qt. vinegar
2 cups water
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine cucumbers and onions. Combine pepper, salt, sugar, vinegar and water; blend well. Pour over cucumbers and onions. Cover, refrigerate and marinate at least 1 1/2 hours before serving.

NOTE: 1. 18 lb fresh cucumbers A.P. will yield 15 lb sliced cucumbers.
2. 3 lb 8 oz dry onions A.P. will yield 3 lb sliced onions.
