Maker of barrel?

Can you help me ID the maker of this old contender pistol barrel? It's 16" including screw off brake and 14.5" without brake. Has only one forend screw and the only stamps are 7x30w and what looks like a clover on one side of the lug and a star on the other. Thanks...

I could swear I replied to this yesterday.
If it has a screw off brake and with the brake off it is less than 16 inches then it is a pistol barrel. If it is to be both pistol and rifle it needs to never be less than 16 inches by federal law. My Super 14 and 16 barrels have two screw forends, so I don't know what you have. I also don't have a guess as to who made it.
I just looked at a couple of 10 inch barrels I have and they are one screw. Perhaps if you give us the measurement between the front of the lug and the center of the screw I can measure to see if it is the same as my shorter barrels.

That is not TC one screw spacing. The one I just measured was 3 1/2 inches from the breech face to the center of the screw tophat, and 1 3/8 from the front of the lug. Sorry.

Well, if you add them up they are very close to 5 inches. Also, for liability reasons, there may be a very good reason it is difficult to identify who made it, could have come from North Korea or China, or (Gasp) Kalifornia). Larry
