can i file the top of the bolt handle and that collar at the rear of the bolt to get more clearance? rear bell on bushnell scope is quite large. thank you

They are easy to remove, just take off the screw at the rear.  A combination of slight bending and grinding can probably help you out, Bushnell scopes do have a problem in this area.  Bolt handles are easy to find in a lot of styles, so if you screw it up you can just get a new one.  Larry

huh!  351,  I asked the very same question a week or so ago regarding my son's 110 light wt. But I have it on low mounts now. I decided I'll try medium Weaver mounts next before removing any metal.  I only need a tad more clearance but altering the rifle metal seemed too drastic before trying the simple ring fix.  Just waiting for the rings to come now. Don't know why I thought I had to stay with low rings.

But if you have really high rings already.......   Brownells and maybe Midway sell stick on cheek risers for the butt stock.
