I would like to take the time today to say  thanks to all of the Dad's on our site.  Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Daddy!  I have read hundreds of your guys post and I can tell by most of them that you are a group of wonderful Dads who takes the time to raise your children, teach them right from wrong, and be there to love them through their ups and downs.  Most of you are raising the generation who will soon be leading this country.  If there were more Dad's like the ones on this site we might not be headed in the direction we are now.  A very special thanks to Matt who has went above and beyond his role of Dad this year to pick up the slack at home with me starting a career.  I couldn't have done it without ya honey!  I hope everyone has a blessed Father's Day!

Thank you and I would not have had that special day without my daughter. My daughter means everything in this world to me!!!!!!!!!!! I had a real episode on this past Saturday. I went to go bid a deck about 85 miles from the house. I work all over and have worked this far before although this is about my limits for travel. I went through the whole thing with the home owner like I always do, turns out now they need a bid on a deck bigger than I have already quoted them on plus another step down deck. I  fully expected to just come by and sign a contract and pick up the down money to cover the cost of the materials for their new deck. On the drive out there I was sure it was a done deal. I have emailed them pictures of past deck jobs I have done and even given them a couple numbers of people they could call that I have worked with in the past. I know I am getting long winded here but there is a point to my story. Well the meeting went well with a very pregnant female customer. I told her I would get back to her the next day on a price for the upgrades for the new deck and the larger deck than I have already given them a quote on. Well I had a another job I had to look at about 20 miles from there. So I sat in her driveway and punched in the new address in the GPS to the other I had to go look at. I got about 3 or 4 miles down the road when I got real bad chest pains. I have had them maybe a half a dozen times in the past year and a half but this time it was pretty bad. I knew I had to pull over. I was just plain sick. I always heard if you are having a heart attack to chew a asprin. So I pulled into the first little store I came across to buy some asprin. The lady behind the counter was checking out a customer. I asked her if they sell asprin? She said if there were any left it would be back there. So I rush back and am looking for asprin when she shows up. I told her I am having very bad chest pains pains and need to chew a asprin. She found me some BC Powders on the shelf and I dumped one into my mouth as soon as it was in my hand. She said she was going to call 911 and I told her I could not afford it so no. Well there was a nurse in the store at the time and she took my blood pressure. It was 180 over 108. That does not mean anything to me but she said it was very high. At that point against my wishes the cashier called 911. Before I new it the police ( witch were next door and did not know it ) Showed up along with the fire department close behind. Then The EMS show up. All I wanted was some damn asprin not a parade. I spent at least a hour maybe an hour and a half with all these people. They wanted to take me to the hospital and I refused because I could not lock up all my tools in the back of my truck and I was over 80 miles from home. They even made me talk to a doctor at the hospital telling me this could be life ending if I did not come to the hospital. I told him I can't leave my truck and tools and I just had to try to make my way back home. I told him when I get to my town I would go to the ER. They made me sign all kind of release fourms. They were not even going to let me drive home at one point because they were concerned I could die while driving and kill someone. I told them I knew enough to pull over the first time and would do it again if I had to. Well any ways my daughter was spending the night at her best friends house. My wife had talked to her and told her what had happend today. She said she could tell my daughter was fighting back tears as she told her. Well I got a call from my daughter on my cell phone a few minutes after my daughter talked to my wife. She seemed very concerned and wanted to know what happened that day. I love my daughter more than anything else in this whole world. I also know my daughter loves me very much. Well you gus take care and good night. Dale

i either got a visit or a call from all but my youngest daughter.. yes this concerns me..
 but she s making choices an living at a very fast pace..
 as a father they are in my prayers each night..
 i did send a fathers note to my children ,asking forgiveness for not having been a wiser father..
 then i told them there was  only one perfect father ..always there waiting for them an ready to carry them in times when in strife an worldly things fail..my prayer is always that the lord will claim all of them as his own..
no matter what he has to do to bring them to him..it scares me to pray that prayer,as i know the best way to reach them is through thier children..i know its true of me,an they are like me in that aspect,,though some live very worldly lives..may he claim them ,no matter what he has to do ,for that to happen..
 still christianity is an must be a freely made choice.. slim
