Bragging on my girl child
« on: July 06, 2010, 02:51:15 PM »
I finally got to come home from working in NC,and my daughter wanted to go shoot her rifle. We proceeded to the bottom and she had her Ruger M77 MKII in 260 Remington. She has been shooting this rifle since she was 14 or so. She is now 20 and loves to tell all the boys how well she shoots. And she is a good shot. She proceeded to ring the steel gong ( 3/4" plate about 8"x10") 7 times straight. I've taught her to shoot from a good rest or a good solid field position. I'm proud of this little girl, she loves to shoot and hunt, and can outshoot most of her male contemporaries. Nursing school graduate this spring, and I feel sure she will continue to hunt and shoot throughout her life

Good job dad.
Teach them early and keep them interested.
