Ranger I was about to box it up and ask for your address , Yeaaahhh Then the Missus read your reply and said "You can have it after you fight HER for it" , Errrrr Yeah your on your own with that one brother! hahahaha ..
We got up to her folks and shot it and the Charter Arms 44 Bulldog I posted about in the hangun forums tonight, Looks like she is fine with the mid range loads out of the Marlin and she loves the 160gr cast loads @ 1000+/- fps in the Bulldog.
Tried several loads in the 336-44 and really only had two loads that were just not working. Found a pleasent suprise though with the 240gr .431.5 Dia. Hunters Supply RNFP loads, They gave surprising accuracy. Guess that answers one of the most worry-some question I had about that old micro groove barrel ( over bore or not) and I guess that answered it to my liking.
All in all only had a couple hang ups on the feeding, Nothing that a quick touch to the back of the case wouldnt resolve. She burned up the last of the factory 44 spcl Corbon and Federals in the Marlin, And 10 quickly aimed shots later not one hang up.
Yup I think She already knows I was right with out me saying " I told you so " Shes deffinately loving some good ol' 44.
