Just went out and shot my .40 M/P this morning. I've had it over a year, but really havn't had a chance to shoot it as much as I like. It's getting broke in kinda slow. Probably have about 600 rounds thru it so far. It hung up and jammed when I feed it semi wadcutters. Not all the time, but had about 4 hang ups out of about 60 rounds. Mixed up round nose, hollow point and the sw. And, not every one of the sw jammed. I had 20 rds. of the sw to get rid of. I have since switched over to a truncated shape bullet, and they feed well. I'm liking the gun more and more, I shot it. Hopefully now that the weather has broke, I can get down to the gun club and get more range time in. gypsyman

Well I have a m&p 40 and love it, I liked it so much I bought the compact version as a carry gun. I use the fulsize for next to the bed, plateshoots and three gun competions LOL I've places 2nd in every three gun with it. I've got i wanna say atleast 300 rnds through the fulll size about 100 through the compact neither has ever had a hicup factory or handload. To me they have the best ergonomics of any pistol on the market. I just can't praise them enough.

I think My Next buy is going to be a Compact M&P In 9mm.   Shot my Fullsize 45 Some,  this Fine afternoon.  Ran some Factory Fiocchi 230gr hardball through it. What dirty stuff it was.  Got it cheap so had to try it.  Know why it's cheap now  ;)
Didn't Shoot to bad though.

You will love the M&P 9C. I bought one 4 weeks ago for IDPA. Have put well over 500 rounds through it without a single problem.
Has shot everything I put in it, mostly reloads. Wish I had bought the M&P before I bought a SR9, what a difference. Took a big hit unloading that thing.

Ts Scout...yeah, I thought about selling my SR 9 because of the heavy trigger, but I figure I would not get much for it, for a trade on a M & P.  Might keep the Ruger as a house gun as it is reliable and is very pointable, perfect for an unexpected visit at 2 AM from a criminal.  Seems there are alot of people who look down on the Rugers as I saw a Model P-89 used at my local gunshop real cheap, I own one and it is one of my best pistols.

Chris, I had more than just trigger problems. Ejection problems and the barrel was starting to peen. Had enough and I wasn't sending it back to the factory again.
I could see it was not going to be any kind of IDPA gun you could rely on.
To date my M&P9 has well over 2000 rounds through it without a single problem.
Unfortunately this has turned me off on Rugers, no more. Have 4 S&W's and 2 Thompsons now and couldn't be happier.
