habit forming....dang handi's
« on: July 18, 2010, 05:21:55 PM »
dadgum things are so affordable, that I now own another...heck I just go started like a month or so ago.   Picked up a .223 of my local shooting board for $160..good deal right.   Initially was looking at the nef for a 45-70 as the ruger's and marlins, and sure not a real springfield isn't in the cards right now.   Just bought a '06 barrel a few weeks ago off this board, a couple of weeks ago....Now of all things, a local (oklahoma anyway) guy has a synthetic 45-70 for $225, but it is local Tulsa only...fairly safe, cause I live across the state from him.  But NO, I just had to ask if we could split the gas, and now I own another handi!! But got the big stick I have always wanted.  Came with 9 factory rounds of 305gr HP on a stock sleeve, and entry level scope rings.  I feel good about it, now cannot wait to shoot it.  Bought some dies on ebay for it this afternoon.   Whoowa this is worse than my glock afflication.

Don't feel bad I had a .204, within the past two months I now have a .223, .44mag, .44mag Talo, and a .25-06.  I don't plan on adding anymore to the collection, I will probably just tinker with them from here.

If we need someone to blame, it'll be Tim.  He's the "Typhoid Mary" of the Handi world.  I don't think I'll get more than a few more ::)
