SIG P-6
« on: November 18, 2009, 01:04:01 PM »
If you're interested in a single stack (8+1) slim grip SIG 9mm, look into getting one of these W. German Police trade-ins BEFORE they're gone.  We've sold over 140 of them in the past 2 years and not one customer has had a problem.  Most have been ANIB, while showing some holster wear, the internals are relatively unmarked.  I've personally field stripped about 60 of these pieces and have found wear to range from minimal to non-existent.  The supply is drying up...retail prices have increased from $300 to $425 over the past year - they are still a bargain.  Check the specs for the 225, they are virtually the same pistol, with a couple mods that the W.G. police wanted.  VERY nice firearms for the price, AND they are a SIG.

I agree with you, they are still a good buy at $425, but mine was even better at 250.  No extra mag with mine but I found a guy with 3 Sig mags and got them for $20 each, so gun and 4 mags for $310.00. 8)  Mine is my carry gun in my work vehical, carry large deposits some times, and have full confidence in this piece.  DP

One more vote from me. I bought 2 P-6's two years ago...one for me and one for my son. I've been a police officer for 23 years and have shot and carried about everything out there, and it is my favorite gun! My first 50 rounds through the weapon I fired our state qualification course and scores a 497/500...after carring a Glock for 7 years!
Anyone interested in better grips should check out www.vcdgrips.com. I sent them my grips and a week later got them back with a very aggressive texture. Made the gun feel even better and a lot easier to hold when your hands are slick. Can't reccommend that mod enough.
I had to relace my P-6 with a G36 though...my wife loves the P-6 so much she took it from me!

When they first hit the market CDNN had they for $225. and offered additional mags for $29.00.  I bought a paair from them and tried to buy extra mags but was told that someone had bought all they had in stock (about 10,000).

I agree they are fine fine pistols but I don't think I would go $425. for one.

I got one a while back myself for $300.  Awesome buy at that price.  Currently my favorite 9mm.  Heck I'd like to get a Walther P5 to go with it.  An HK P7 would be good too but they seem to cost a bit more (and if I'm honest - that gun is ugly as sin :)).

I bought a P6 last May and overall, it's a pretty sweet pistol. My only complaints are heavy trigger pull in double action mode and the sights. I bought a Wolff 19# mainspring from Top Gun Supply which helped with the double action trigger pull. I also bought Pachmayr rubber grips and now it fits my hands better. Some new sights are next on my list.

Just picked up my P6, what a sweet gun, runs ammo through it like it was a sewing machine. I think you would have to try to make it jam. Got 2 mags with mine, liked that, but no holster. Sights are definitely the next addition.
