.30-30/.45-70 combo. Bought on Gun Broker

I just bought this on Gun Broker for the frame and stock.  I may or may not keep the scope, but I think I'm going to sell both barrels since I already have them.  It was a steal I couldn't resist :o ::)

You got to keep those barrels and make carbines out of them!  Add to your shorty collection.

Nice grab.  I bought that exact same combo off Gunbroker 6 months ago and it also had a 22 hornet & 223 barrel. I kept the frame and 45/70 barrel and made a shorty out of it.  The rest of the stuff was dispersed here at GBO.

 ;D darn it Pete, you just beat me, I was talking to the guy to set up a FTF since he lives close to me and when I go back you had just bought it... o'well when you snooze you lose  ;D  I was gonna keep the 30-30 barrel and part out the rest I figured with no shipping and no FFL fees I could sell it cheap and still get a free barrel...... Spanky, Big G and Kevin.  I book marked this thread and I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do.

Sorry Larry.  The devil on my left shoulder kept hollering "GRAB IT!!!! GRAB IT!!!!".  He wins once in a while. ::)

Having given it more thought, if the .30-30's numbers on the barrel and frame match, and if it is an extractor, I'll keep it and sell my extractor .30-30 barrel with iron sights.  It is new and has less than one box through it.
