6.5 X 55 Handload for M38
« on: December 01, 2003, 09:37:05 AM »
Does anyone have handload for: Hornady 129 Grain SP, in 6.5, using H 4350 or other powders?  The M38 is an old military rifle.  Also, has anyone used the Hornady 129 grain SP in an M96 or M38 before (if you have, how was it's accuracy)? 8)

Check out the Hodgdon on-line Site.  I don't see that weight bullet listed:

From Hornady....6.5x55mm Swedish.  I have the following info:
H4350 and 129 gr. SP (not the new SSP)
39.4 gr. @2400fps; 41.5 gr. @2500 fps; 42.9 gr. @ 2600 fps; 44.4 gr. @ 2700 fps; 46.0 gr. @ 2800 fps.  *As always, start low and work up slowly.
