shotgun vs. groundhog
« on: July 17, 2010, 05:56:13 PM »
Today me and my dad ran over to my uncle's farm to see if we could kill a groundhog or two. We started out in the back cattle pasture. We didn't see any so we we went out the lane and sat there with a shotgun and we saw one stick his head up but I didn't get a shot so we waited and about 15 min. later we heard a lound whistle about 10 feet behide us so I stood up and looked and there was a groundhog when I shouldered my gun he went back down but as quikley he went down he came up in another hole and I took his head clean off at about 15 feet with a benelli SBE 2 and Remington 3.5 no. 4. and he did a double back flip that would of won him a gold medel.

Thats sweet, I hunt groundhogs with my H&R ultra slug hunter.  I have only killed a few, but I love using a shotgun when I go groundhog hunting.
