Flipping the congress next election can help and hurt...
« on: July 12, 2010, 05:37:59 AM »
  Shown in the article I'm providing a link for an article which demonstrates how much better the economy & country do when the congress is controlled by conservatives. If we can flip the congress this fall...that will be great news;

  http://www.redstate.com/neil_stevens/2010/07/08/a-chart-of-unemployment-since-1995/

      Now, here's what could be the bad news;
       I can recall back when the Reps took over the house & senate with the "Contract for America", we were warned  (I believe by Newt) that they would fix the economy...but unfortunately, the prez would get the credit for it...as they always do with the politically unsophisticated, whether good or bad news.  Clinton was re-elected.
   Herein lies the danger; If we flip the congress and the new congress does TOO well..Oba-mammy would get the credit for it and even be re-elected...

When Clinton lost his Congress and got a new one, he moved to the right with them, he signed about everything they threw on his desk.  I do not believe Obama would do this, he is a different than Clinton.  He won't move to the right and will fight anything a new Congress tries to do.  Obama would blame his loss of Congress on Americans being stupid.

Yes Jimster, I believe Obammy is more of an inflexible idealogue, than was Clinton.

  Lakota;
  I also fear that as lame ducks the progressives may go for a "scorched earth" policy politically, passing all kinds of anti-freedom measures while they are still able.

If you pick blackberries you'll get cuts and scratches but the cobbler is worth it.
