I hope to be hunting whitetails this fall is S.C. with a .45 T/C Seneca. I would like to get as much info as I can on the best powder and projectile to use and the steps you guys use to sight in with iron sights. Also, would like to know what the effective killing range of the .45 would be. Where I hunt most shots are 50yds. or less, but in a couple of deer stands I can get a clear shot out to about 200yds. No problem for a scoped .270 but,I am sure iron sights and the .45's killing range will be a whole different situation. It's been over 30yrs. since I fired a muzzle loader so all the advice/info. you can give is greatly appreciated.
