Redneck. To find out what is legal in Oregon, don't ask here. Go straight to the source, the Wildlife Dept or whatever Oregon calls it. Check their website, the regulation books and/ or go to an office and ask someone.  Best way to be sure you are clear on the regulations.

Probably good general advise.  However, in my particular case in giving information I have hunted in oregon all of my life (native Oregonian), have studied the game laws since '68 and enforced the game laws in Oregon for numerous years as an LEO (first with OSP).  The ODFW will respond with answers as to the regulations in the hunting synopsis.  However, OSP (they are the chief enforcers of Oregon's game laws) not only enforces the game regulations in the hunting synopsis but also all the other game laws in the Orgegon Game Code (ORS).  ODFW issues game synopsis that govern the taking of game animals.  Coyote's are listed as varmints and there is little information in the synopsis regarding the taking of them legally.  There are many more laws, particularly those that govern varmint shootingtaking in the Oregon Game Code.  Even many OSP game officers would have to brush up a little on those laws applicable.  I speak from many years experience working with many OSP game officers and in no way am impinginging on their knowledge.  It's just that they focus on the game and fishing regs and not much on varmint hunters except during ground squirrel season.

I bought a tatical Rem  700 .308 win.  I wanted to try the 150 grain bullets.  My gun hated the rounds.  It does not like anything lighter than 165 gr.  I now shoot Federal 180 grain Noslar Partitions.  It shoots .75 inch 5 sshot groups at 100 yds

I use this round for varmints and ground hogs and I find that the first round shot from a cold bore is right on target. I have not had to use a second shot from a warm or hot barrel as of yet. I would like to know if there are any reloading data for this round.

Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!"
