Rossi model 62 copy has problems
« on: August 04, 2010, 04:26:55 PM »
Hey guys,

I have one of those Rossi copies of the Winchester 62 gallery pump rifle. Its in great shape and I don't think it saw much use, if any, before I got it. (bought through an estate).

Trouble is, I can't get it to feed consistently, even after cleaning. It feeds .22 shorts about once in every two pumps, and sometimes it takes 10 pumps to load a .22lr. Could this just be due to tight tolerances, or is there something else I should be looking at?

We have an older unit which has fired about 3,000 rounds over the years . I would suggest you need a smith to look at yours , as ours has been good so far

Actually, I polished the heck out of the lifter in the carrier assembly, and it feeds great now . . ..
