243 Twist Rate

Can anyone tell me how much difference in bullet weight a 1/9.5 to a 1/10 twist rate in a 243would be? This maybe a better way to ask this. what are the bullet ranges for these 2 twist ?

The difference between those two twist rates should be almost negligible. My Stevens model 200 is 1:9.25 and it loves 87 grain V-Max bullets. Id start somewhere around 80 - 100 grains, depending on what you're shooing at, and go from there.

i have 1-10 MGM encore barrel 26" and it shoots 95gr Berger VLD great i tried some 55gr and they shot ok as well
i have heard guys shooting 105-107gr with 1-10 twist and i have seen post saying they will not stabilize in that barrel? i am willing to try the heavy bullets.!
I am working on trying the 105 Hornady Amax,
My savage .243 is 1-9.5 twist and from 75gr-100gr it shoots less than 1"@100yds
I would just try different loads and see what it will do..if you load Berger they work good touching the lands.

For the most part the only bullets that won't shoot all the time with a 1-10 are the 105 A-Max and the 107 Sierra. I have shot the 105's in my 788 and it did stabilize them at about 2950 fps.
