Not the best idea but if you do choose to hang a 22-250 barrel on it would you but one of those ad&d insurance policies and name me beneficiary

Welcome Kyle! That would be a bad idea, the cast iron SB1 frame of the Pardner was never meant to be used with any high pressure rifle barrel, see the warning in the FAQs on what can happen when a 223 barrel was used on a shotgun frame. Get an SB2 rifle frame and put the high pressure barrels on it.  ;)

You could put a .44, .357, and (I think) .45 LC on it. Anything else is a survival risk for the shooter.

I maintain a simple solution to the problem.  I keep all my rifle barrels on SB2s, even if the SB1 is rated for them.  That way, there's no accidents.  If you get into these Handis, the more SB2 frames you have the easier it is to fit barrels.  Mine now are all on their own dedicated frame and lock up tight.  I had to shim here and there before, but once I got more frames and worked things around, I was able to throw away the shims.  Nothing I own now is tinkered.  Do yourself a favor and get a couple of SB2 frames ;)
