.308 Survivor Update
« on: July 18, 2010, 01:20:18 PM »
Well it has been awhile since I have posted on here. I purchased a .308 Survivor Handi Rifle towards the beginning of the year, and I struggled with it getting it to shoot accurately.
My update is that it is doing alot better.. I have a Redfield Scope and Harris Bipod on it and am consistently getting 2.5-3" groups at 100 yards... Not satisfied yet, but its improving. If you remember my last posts at all.. shots were all over the page.. and it wasn't me.. I had other people shoot it too lol..... So yeah... just needed patience and tinkering. Here is what it looks like now.

I like the way you mounted that bipod back toward the hinge.  What loads are you using?  The .308 Handi barrels I've seen have a 1:10 twist and seem to like 165-168 bullets.  If you haven't tried those, you might give them a chance.
