Bisley-izing a Super Single Six
« on: December 30, 2002, 08:49:51 AM »
Anyone done this or know of someone who has?

My father and I have a single six that's a few years old.  Nice gun, but we were doing a little window shopping the other day and got our mitts on the bisley grip frame and both of us thought it was much more comfortable.  Both the grip and that trigger.

We'd like to convert our single six (change grip, trigger, and hammer) and were wondering if any kits were sold to do this.  Can someone do it themselves, or would it be better to send it away to a gunsmith?  Might have an action job done at the same time.  Any Ideas on cost?

Thanks.

Woodchuck.
I did some looking around and found that the Midway catalog list some replacement grip frames for blackhawks and single sixes. I didnt see one for a Bisley conversion but they did have them for the Birdshead conversion as well as a brass gripframe.
