Trips planned for the summer?
« on: March 14, 2011, 06:06:03 AM »
Whats everyone going to do this summer? I've got a couple of trips planned for Colorado and New Mexico. Takeing a couple of Harley riders to southwest Colorado for 7 days of camping and riding. They're from Califonia and I'll meet them in Albuquerqe.
The no. 2 trip will be  the Goldwing 1800 group in Montrose Co. Nov. 6 through the 10. I'll be riding with the Dairy Queen bunch of rowdies on that ride. :D :D Digger

THE locals consider people from Californacaters as VERMIN so don't ride to close to them.

Planning mid-June trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway with my "Bride" of 30+ yrs.  We did it on our honeymoon in a VW Rabbit and I said then it needs to be done on 2 wheels.  Picked up a Yamaha Venture last fall and love the ride.  My brother bought a cabin in the woods of North Georgia near the Dragon - he rides an Ultra.  Plan to make a week of it...can't wait - it's been a l-o-n-g winter  ::)

Laconia, NH. Bike week.  Been going for years.  After you get tired of looking at T shirts and cheap leather, the area offers a whole bunch of great riding on winding roads thru the mountains, lots of lakes, and not much traffic once you get out of the immediate area.

The local campground can be fun at night, watching all the antics going on, and such.  Last year had a bet with one of my buddies how many times this one guy could get drunk and drop his dresser in the field we were camping in for the week.  I lost by the way, and stopped counting after six times.
