What grain bullet are the fixed sights regulated to on the G-22 40 S&W?

Haven't been able to find that information. Glock offers front sights in different heights to adjust for whatever load you choose. If that's not close enough, you'll have to go to adjustable sights. My duty load was 180 gr Golden Sabers (Mdl 22).  I shoot 175 gr LSWC bullets for practice and IDPA at a bit lower velocity. Both shoot to the sights (Meprolights). On my mdl 17 I went to an adjustable rear and a fiber optic front to get my 147gr bullets on target. IMO the factory plastic sights should be the first thing changed anyway. You should be able to find some aftermarket sights that suit your needs or order different height front sights from Glock.
Good Luck,

I don't think they're regulated to any specific bullet weight.  Both my G22 and G27 shoot the best with 165 gr. bullets.  They shoot Golden Sabers, Gold Dots, Hydra Shok's and the new HST's really well.  I carry 165 gr. HST's in both of them now.  They shoot good with a lot of different 165 gr. FMJ target ammo as well.

Your best bet is to shoot as many different types and weight bullets you can to see what shoots best in your pistol.

165 with most ammo (fmj& Hst the best)will do good. 180 is a good bet too.

I was an LEO Firearms Instructor for a State Police Agency.  When we transitioned to Glock 22s, I did lots of research on that caliber.  The US Border Patrol did the best testing I found and settled on the 155 JHP as the best.  Federal Hyrda-shok was top performer, now improved with HST bullet, and less expensive too!

With the low bore axis, bullet weight will have little difference on point of impact with a Glock.

In 2003 I was issued a NIB G22 for duty use.  It shot to POA with Federal 180 gr. Hydrashoks.

From going to the range with my friends pistols we found out the answer to my question. Average factory load 180 gr bullets are what the sights are set for on the Glock 40 S&W pistols. 124 gr bullet for the Glock 9mm pistols. In both calibers the lighter bullets shoot slightly low with a proper sight alignment.
