blood trackin flashlights

Any on used one of the new flashlights which supposedly make the blood show up easier?  what do u think? do they work? is it worth it? what brands do u recommend?

tried 2 by gerber and one by another company. Its green and looks like a ray gun , can't remember the brand .
 the gerber ones have not worked for me . the other has not been used by me but several others have them and say they work sometimes . That means very fresh blood works alot better than hour old blood .
 So why do i have 3 ? gifts , why else .

I have not had the opertunity to use mine yet, but have a friend that say`s he can see blood better with a white lite. Just a guess, but I`m partly color blind and have trouble seeing blood and I think the blood lite may work better for me than those with good color vision.

I made one simply by cutting a lens from a purple sheet of plastic.
it does work, it makes the blood look black.

I have a blue lens cover for a sure-fire flashlight, but never had the need to use it yet. So I can't comment on how it works, but the blue lens cover was made for the purpose of seeing blood better.

Got one of the first ones that came out, has a regular white light and the colored leds, white light worked best. Let several of my buddies try it, same conclusion. Save your money to buy batteries for a maglight.

I have found the LED lights are a bit nicer for tracking the whiter light is nicer than the old yellowish from cheap incandescent bulbed flashlights. If you can use them side by side you'll see the difference immediately. Don't skimp on your LED's either the maglight LED bulb is preferable to the common W*M generic LED. I've replaced the 4D cell lights and am very impressed, no idea how long the batteries will last they are nearing three years now and strong.

The bloodhunter works really good,if you are in a swamp with just brown swamp grass and you use just the green lens it makes blood look like mud(black),easy to follow.

I bought a Gerber, had occasion to use it the first week of the deer season when a fellow hunter lost the trail just before dark. We found the place he stopped finding blood, and turned on the Gerber. It was pitiful! I gave it away the next day. I would not recommend any of the so-called blood lights.

Don't have one.
If you get one, the next time you buy a roast at the store or a Rack of meat, take the blood from the meat go out into the back yards and drizzle the blood in the yard.  At dusk go see if you can see the blood and see what you are looking for and if it works.

I have 3 and it dosen't work well on old blood like after you clean a deer . To be honest they don't seem to work at all most times
