Rings for BC
« on: August 06, 2010, 11:34:59 AM »
I'm planning to put a 1.65-5 36mm Nikon Omega muzzloader scope on my BC.
Looking for some advice on ring height.  Would like the lowest rings possible that do not interfere.
I'm guessing medium height, but thought I'd get some opinions.

That's all covered in the FAQs, hammer interference is the issue, just depends on the scope and size of the power ring/ocular bell and where they're positioned over the hammer. I have an Omega on my 45-70 Ultra Hunter in medium Leupold PRWs which are .375" high, had to bob the hammer.
